Kruelty formed in Tokyo in 2017, drawing as much from New York hardcore as from death metal, doom and sludge. The Japanese band built a name on the international extreme-music circuit, signing to US label Closed Casket Activities in 2024 and releasing the EP Profane Usurpation the same year. A third full-length is in the works. They tour across Canada in the summer of 2026, with stops from Winnipeg to Vancouver.
