Barrington DeVaughn Hazel, better known as JPEGMAFIA, is an American rapper and producer born in New York in 1989. A U.S. Air Force veteran who served in Iraq, he settled in Baltimore and built a body of work defined by abrasive, self-produced beats and sharp, subversive writing. Veteran (2018) made him a critical favourite, followed by All My Heroes Are Cornballs and the Danny Brown collaboration Scaring the Hoes (2023). His Experimental Rap Tour supports the album of the same name.
