Born in Honolulu and raised on Windward Oahu before moving to Maui, Josh Tatofi weaves traditional Hawaiian music, island reggae and R&B through a velvet voice that earned him the nickname the Polynesian Luther Vandross. The son of Tivaini Tatofi, a founding member of Kapena, he swept five Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards in 2020 for the album Ua Kui A Lawa and champions the Hawaiian language on stage.
