José González

José González is a Swedish singer-songwriter of Argentine descent, based in Gothenburg. His work is built on fingerpicked nylon-string guitar and a hushed, close-miked voice, an approach that reached a global audience through his reading of The Knife's Heartbeats. He also fronts the band Junip. His fifth album, Against the Dying of the Light, borrows its title from Dylan Thomas and arrived in March 2026, five years after his previous full-length.
