John Bishop

Born in Liverpool in 1966, John Bishop came to stand-up late, first taking a stage at 33 after years working in the pharmaceutical industry. His warm observational comedy — built on his Scouse accent, family life and everyday absurdity — turned him into one of Britain's biggest touring comedians and a fixture on UK television. He has also acted, playing Dan Lewis in Doctor Who. His show Here's John Bishop follows the sold-out '25' tour marking his quarter-century in comedy.
