HammerFall is a Swedish heavy metal band formed in Gothenburg in 1993 and widely credited with reviving European power metal. Its debut Glory to the Brave (1997) and the anthem Hearts on Fire opened the continent's biggest stages. Fronted by singer Joacim Cans alongside founding guitarist Oscar Dronjak, the band trades in melodic, fist-in-the-air metal and is on a world tour in 2026.
