Ensemble Caprice

Ensemble Caprice is a Montreal period-instrument baroque ensemble founded by recorder virtuoso and conductor Matthias Maute, who directs it alongside Sophie Lariviere. Known for adventurous programming that stretches the baroque canon, the group has given well over a hundred concerts across four continents and recorded some twenty albums for ATMA Classique, Analekta and Leaf Music. It has collected four Prix Opus and three Juno Awards, and presents its Montreal season at Bourgie Hall.
