Born Arnold George Dorsey in Madras, India, in 1936, Engelbert Humperdinck broke through in 1967 with "Release Me", a hit that famously kept The Beatles off the top of the UK chart. Nicknamed the King of Romance for his crooner's voice and ballads such as "The Last Waltz" and "After the Lovin'", he has sold tens of millions of records worldwide. Now 90, he continues to play 90-minute sets on his globe-spanning Celebration Tour.
