Elvis Costello

Declan MacManus, who took the name Elvis Costello, is a British songwriter who arrived with the 1977 new wave and the album My Aim Is True. His restless, barbed writing has carried him from punk to country, string quartets to jazz, with collaborators as varied as Burt Bacharach and the Roots. He tours with his band The Imposters.
