Eluveitie

Eluveitie is a Swiss folk metal band formed in 2002 on an unusual pairing: melodic death metal in the Gothenburg tradition played alongside hurdy-gurdy, bagpipes and Celtic flutes. Their lyrics draw on the history of the Helvetii and are sometimes sung in reconstructed Gaulish. Slania, released in 2008, broke them beyond Europe, and they have toured North America steadily ever since.
