DJ Shub

DJ Shub, born Dan General, is a Mohawk DJ and producer from Six Nations of the Grand River in Ontario. He won the Canadian DMC turntable finals in 2007 and 2008, then co-founded A Tribe Called Red before going solo in 2014. He is the pioneer of powwow-step, a fusion of pow-wow singing and electronic bass music, and his album War Club earned him the 2022 JUNO Award for Contemporary Indigenous Artist of the Year.
