Digable Planets

Digable Planets are an American hip hop trio of Ishmael Butler, Mary Ann Vieira and Craig Irving, better known as Butterfly, Ladybug Mecca and Doodlebug. Their loose, upright-bass-driven jazz rap broke wide with Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat), which won a Grammy in 1994. The denser, more politically charged follow-up Blowout Comb became a cult record, and the group performs it in full on the thirtieth-anniversary tour that reaches Western Canada in October 2026.
