Damien Jurado

A Seattle singer-songwriter active since 1995, Damien Jurado built a body of quiet, story-driven indie folk populated by drifters and outsiders. An early Sub Pop signing, he has released well over a dozen albums, including the Maraqopa trilogy made with the late producer Richard Swift, and now issues his own records on Maraqopa Records. On stage, hushed vocals and spare guitar draw a room in close.
