Crankdat is the stage name of Christian Smith, an American DJ and electronic producer born in 1997 in Youngstown, Ohio. He turned down a track-and-field scholarship to chase music, and drew his first wave of attention in 2015 with a SoundCloud remix of Fetty Wap's “Trap Queen”. Moving between dubstep, trap and drum and bass, he has worked with Marshmello and DJ Snake and played festivals from EDC Las Vegas to Tomorrowland.
