Chvrches are a Scottish synth-pop band formed in Glasgow in 2011 by Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty. Breakout songs The Mother We Share and Recover put them fifth on the BBC's Sound of 2013 list, the year their debut album The Bones of What You Believe came out. Every Open Eye, Love Is Dead and 2021's Screen Violence followed.
