Calgary Jazz Orchestra

The Calgary Jazz Orchestra is an Alberta big band led by its founder Johnny Summers, a trumpeter, vocalist, arranger and educator. The full ensemble features four trumpets, four trombones, five saxophones and a three-piece rhythm section, playing arrangements written by its own members. Its education branch, the Calgary Jazz Academy, keeps jazz alive for new generations in Calgary and beyond.
