Bruce Cockburn is a Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist born in Ottawa in 1945, with more than thirty albums since 1970 spanning folk, jazz and rock. A formidable fingerstyle player, he is equally known for his politics: "If I Had a Rocket Launcher" came out of visiting Guatemalan refugee camps in the 1980s. He is a member of the Order of Canada and the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
