Blue October are an American rock band formed in Houston, Texas, in 1995 around singer Justin Furstenfeld. Their 2006 album Foiled, driven by "Hate Me" and "Into the Ocean", turned the band into an unusually frank voice on depression, addiction and mental health. A full-time violin in the line-up still sets their sound apart in alternative rock.
