Ben Nichols

Ben Nichols is the singer and chief songwriter of Memphis rock band Lucero, active since the late 1990s. On his own he writes sparer, story-driven americana and folk. His first solo album, The Last Pale Light in the West (2009), drew on the novel Blood Meridian; sixteen years later he returns with In the Heart of the Mountain and its accompanying tour.
