Altın Gün is an Amsterdam-based band that reworks 1970s Anatolian psychedelic rock, the tradition of Selda Bağcan and Erkin Koray, for modern audiences. Dutch bassist Jasper Verhulst founded the group in 2016 after a trip to Turkey, assembling Turkish and Dutch players around electric saz, vintage keyboards and hypnotic grooves. Their album On earned a Grammy nomination, and 2026 brings the record Garip and a North American tour.
