Alabama Shakes

Alabama Shakes formed in 2009 in Athens, Alabama, built around Brittany Howard's blues-scorched voice and a rhythm section steeped in Southern soul and garage rock. Their 2012 debut Boys & Girls took them from small-town bars to festival stages, and 2015's Sound & Color won multiple Grammy Awards, including Best Alternative Music Album. The band returned to the road across North America in 2026 with guests including Mavis Staples.
