6LACK, born Ricardo Valdez Valentine Jr. in 1992, is an American singer and rapper based in Atlanta. He works at the seam between hushed R&B and melancholy hip-hop, a blend that broke through with PRBLMS and the 2016 album Free 6LACK, which earned him two Grammy nominations. His fourth album, Love Is the New Gangsta, arrived in 2026 alongside the 10 Years of 6LACK Tour marking a decade of releases.
